Bakgaga face Matsatsantsa in exciting fixture

Baroka have earned a reputation for bringing the big guns down

POLOKWANE – Bakgaga will welcome Matsatsantsa a Pitori to the Peter Mokaba Sports Complex on Saturday for their PSL clash which kicks off at 15:30.

Predictably, when these two sides cross paths, it will be the grass on the pitch of this 2010 Fifa World Cup host stadium that will suffer most. Baroka are no small fries and they have earned a reputation for bringing the big guns down. So, when the visitors from Pretoria arrive in the city, they will be conscious of the herculean task that awaits them.
The Ga-Mphahlele-based outfit are still nursing fresh wounds inflicted by Cape Town City who eliminated them from the Telkom Knockout competition on their home turf, the Peter Mokaba Sports Complex.
Ahead of their loss against the team from the Mother City, they displayed glimpses of bravado and heroic exploits in which they held the pretenders to the throne, Kaizer Chiefs, to a goalless draw at Moses Mabhida Stadium in Durban.
Baroka, on the other side, are still doing some chest-beating after walloping Platinum Stars 3-1.
However, in their match-up against SuperSport United, they are playing against a team with unmatched statistics and remarkable credentials.
Matsatsantsa are brimming with confidence after embarrassing Soweto giants, Orlando Pirates, during their 6-1 marauding. They are a team not to be underestimated.
