BMW driving pleasure on the green fairway

Raoul van Zyl and Nelson Marais ended the year as the Overall Qualifier winners of the BMW Modern Autohaus Golf event.

POLOKWANE -The BMW Modern Autohaus Golf event took place along with the Pick n Pay and Pietersburg Bande Golf Day at the Polokwane Golf Club, on Wednesday, 9 November.

A total of 94 golfers competed in a better-ball stableford format.

The winners of the day were Helgard Muller and Leon van der Merwe in first place with a total of 47 points, Malebana Pataki and Patric Molepo in second place with a total of 46 points and Steve Rudd and Divan van der Heever in third place with a total of 45 points on a count-in.

The overall qualifier winners were Raoul van Zyl and Nelson Marais in first place with a total of 51 points, Jandré Britz and Desireé Earle in second place with a total of 50 points on a count-in and Jannie Bronkhorst and Glen Wynne in third place with a total of 50 points on a count-out.

The nearest to the pin on hole four was played by Hendrik van der Merwe, hole eight by Russell Gutsche, hole 11 by Riaan Piek and hole 16 by Thabo Shingange. The jackpot was drawn at a total of 1 540 units with Cedrik Wren winning a payable amount of 1 230 uits.
