POLOKWANE – Streaming services such as Showmax and Netflix have made it possible to watch your favourite series or movies on demand, whenever you want to.

This however makes it even more difficult to decide between the magnitude of options available – that’s where we come in.

Review has put together a list of shows you should stream on your favourite platform.

What to Watch this week on:

Showmax:

Series: Flatbush Misdemeanors

The comedy series Flatbush Misdemeanors follows Dan and Kevin, two longtime friends trying to climb out of their heads and connect with others in their brash new surroundings in Flatbush, Brooklyn.

Movie: The Reckoning

The Reckoning is set in London, 1665, where the great plague stalks the streets, leaving death in its wake. As fear and superstition take hold, Grace (Charlotte Kirk, Vice), a young widow haunted by the recent death of her husband, rejects the advances of her landlord… and is accused of being a witch.

For the kids: The Grinch

From the makers of Despicable Me and The Secret Life of Pets, this Dr. Seuss classic tells the story of a grumpy Grinch (voiced by Benedict Cumberbatch, with Pharrell Williams narrating) who plots to ruin Christmas for the village of Whoville.

Netflix:

Series: The Cuba Libre Story

This documentary series recounts the tumultuous history of Cuba, a nation of foreign conquest, freedom fighters and Cold War political machinations.

Movie: Oprah + Viola: A Netflix Special Event

In this special event, Oprah Winfrey sits down with actor Viola Davis for an interview about her memoir, “Finding Me.”

For the kids: Battle Kitty

Kitty and Orc brawl with monsters, beat out rivals — and need your help to move through Battle Island and become champion in this interactive adventure!
