SEDIBENG.- Sedibeng football sides Ben 10 FC and Boipatong FC are gearing up to make their impressive ABC Motsepe League debuts this weekend after winning promotion from the SAFA Sedibeng Hollywoodbet Men’s Regional League.

Both local clubs earned automatic promotion after finishing first and second in the regional league last season, and they are now ready to kick off their official campaigns in Stream A away from home.

Boipatong FC will get the weekend action underway on October 2 when they travel to Soweto to face JBM at the Nike Centre. Kick-off is scheduled for 16:00.

The club prepared for the new 2026/2027 season with practice matches against Mamelodi Sundowns at Chloorkop.

Speaking to Sedibeng Ster Sport, Boipatong FC Chairperson Gab Maloka acknowledged the challenge ahead but emphasised that his side is ready to compete.

“It will not be easy as newcomers, but we will fight to stay in the league. We are there to compete, not just make up the numbers. I’m happy with our pre-season preparations, and now it is time to test our character against the big boys in the league,” said Maloka.

Ben 10 FC will follow on October 4, travelling to play SSU M-17 FC at the Phillip Stadium with a 15:00 kick-off.

Head coach, Katleho Tau, expressed confidence in his squad ahead of their opening encounter. He told Sedibeng Ster Sport that everyone has been waiting for this moment to represent the Vaal with distinction in the league.
