Hindu Society hosts Premier in Umkomaas [Pictures]

KwaZulu-Natal premier Thami Ntuli was a guest at the unveiling of the 20th Sivananda Peace Pillar in Craigieburn.

KWAZULU-Natal premier Thami Ntuli was a guest of the Umkomaas Hindu Society recently where he attended the unveiling of the 20th Sivananda Peace Pillar in Craigieburn. He was joined by Deputy Minister of Forestry, Fisheries and Environment Narend Singh, who is a native of Umkomaas.

The monumental four-ton granite structure is inscribed with prayers from the world’s major religions. The Sivananda Peace Pillars are symbols of unity in diversity, reminding us that peace and love should transcend human limitations.

The Sivananda World Peace Foundation also awarded Ntuli with the prestigious Sivananda Humanitarian Award.
