Rescued senior dog given second chance

A senior dog was rescued by Isipingo Pet Rescue from the dangerous Higginson Highway. The organisation hopes to find him a forever home.

ISIPINGO Pet Rescue was called to action yesterday when they recovered a senior dog, Walton, from the perilous Higginson Highway. Founder of the NPO, Nirvana Ramlall, said that his tears of fear have turned into tears of joy thanks to a Chatsworth vet.

Following a consultation with the vet, Walton was found to require further testing at the Westville Veterinary Hospital, however funds are limited.

“Despite his permanently tilted head, Walton’s spirit remains unbroken and he can walk straight with ease. He is an incredible senior dog and deserves a second chance at life. His friendly demeanour makes him an ideal companion for families with dogs, and he peacefully co-exists with cats. His energetic personality craves playful friends to share in his adventures. Please consider adopting Walton to provide him with the loving care he so rightly deserves,” said Ramlall.

A strict adoption process is in place to ensure his well-being, and vet care will be updated upon adoption.

If you can offer Walton a safe haven and a forever home, contact Ramlall on 062 633 0544.
