South Coast residents experience lower water pressure amid maintenance
The eThekwini Municipality informed the South Coast community of maintenance of a booster pumpstation, which may cause low water pressure.
RESIDENTS and businesses along the South Coast are urged to reduce water usage to prevent depletion of reservoirs due to the shutdown of the South Coast Augmentation (SCA) Booster Pumpstation for maintenance work.

The shutdown will be from November 26 at 08:00 until 17:00 the same day.
Maintenance work will include re-installation of pump two and the removal of pump one for repairs.

According to eThekwini Municipality notice, other reservoir supply zones may experience lower pressure due to the shutdown, which may be due to water levels decreasing on dependent reservoirs during the period of non-supply.
If demands within reservoir zones exceed expectations, the City will consider shutting reservoir outlets to preserve storage to reduce reservoir recovery time after the shutdown
