THERE is a hive of activity at Hutchison Park in Amanzimtoti today (April 27) as people from near and far gather for the biggest gathering of pipe bands in the southern hemisphere.

The Highland Gathering is not just an event; it is a tradition, a community gathering, and a day filled with excitement for the whole family.
The much-anticipated mass pipe bands performance takes place at about 17:00. Danré van der Spuy will accompany the bands by singing Amazing Grace.
