Lifesavers plan dinner for club’s 90th

WINKLESPRUIT Surf Lifesaving Club’s 90th dinner is fast approaching and it promises to be a great event.
Past and current members can purchase tickets at the club for the event which takes place on Saturday, 12 August.
The club congratulates Gene Prato on winning the senior section of the Durban Ski Race last Sunday and for placing third at the KZN Canoe U23 marathon championships in Pietermaritzburg on Saturday too – it was clearly a really good weekend for Gene.
A number of nippers who are also Amanzimtoti Water Sports Club members also competed in the guppy section of the KZN Canoe marathon championships where many great results were achieved. Well done to all.
Speaking of nippers – the nipper season is fast approaching, so to those nippers who have had a restful winter break, now is the time to start doing some exercise as the beginning of September is not too far off.
This Saturday sees the local Madman Adventure race take place at the Illovo Brewery site. Winklespruit Surf Lifesaving Club is involved in safety, catering and participation. As such, all members are requested to get involved.
Come September, come subscriptions – all members are requested to pay as soon as possible.
