The touring side brought with them four age groups from U14s up to U18s, each playing two games against ARC Youth. The U14s faced off against both Amanzimtoti and Hillcrest, while the U15s took on Amanzimtoti and Ballito. The U16s played Amanzimtoti and Rovers, and finally, the U18s met Amanzimtoti and Hillcrest.

ARC Youth chairperson Dirk Smit said that Amanzimtoti showcased strong rugby prowess on the field, particularly the U15s, who delivered an outstanding performance, winning against the visitors 63-0.

After the eight tour games, the Durban Rugby Sub Union U18s final was held.

“It was a hard-fought contest between Rovers and South Coast Warriors. In the end, Rovers walked away with the trophy. The day was filled with good vibes and great rugby spirit. Friendships were made, and that’s what club rugby is truly about, camaraderie, competition, and having a good time,” said Smit.

He proudly added that Amanzimtoti Youth Rugby continues to grow every year and is now one of the biggest youth clubs in KZN. “With the hard work from the management and the continued support from parents, the community, and sponsors, the club is well positioned to achieve even greater things,” concluded Smit.
