Head of sports at the school, Wade Botha, said that five school records were broken during the event, and Junior Victor Ludorum Camill Moodley is the proud owner of four of them, while the fifth was a team effort for Tedder in the U19 mixed freestyle relay.

“Fast paced racing and loud cheering was the order of the afternoon as spectators were treated to a fine display of aquatic prowess as the learners raced across the pool. The coveted Victor and Victrix Ludorum trophies were fiercely contested for and once the spray had settled, it was Camill Moodley and Kimaya Lander Ritchie who were named Junior Victor and Victrix. While Dayne Clarke and Isabelle van Heerden took top honours in the senior ranks,” said Botha.

Once the whopping 74 events were concluded and the scores had been tallied up, Carter came out on top by a relatively narrow margin to take the win, while reigning champions Tedder had to settle for third place despite winning the Spirit Trophy for their inspiring team spirit.
