Soccer feast at Bhekulwandle tournament

The soccer tournament featured 12 teams, all vying for the R10 000 cash top prize. The winners also walked away with a R1 300 meat voucher.

AFTER a day of fast-paced football action, Abatobozi FC won the Eyamaqhawe Soccer Tournament by beating Maytex FC 1-0 recently.

Organised by Eyamaqhawe Foundation, which was founded by Siyabonga Hlatshwayo, the tournament was held at Emadolfin sports ground in Felekisi and featured 12 teams, all vying for the R10 000 cash top prize. The winners also walked away with a R1 300 meat voucher.

Siphesihle Ngcobo was named player of the tournament after scoring the final match’s only goal, which was also the only goal conceded by Maytex FC in the four matches the team played on the day.
