Toti United hosts thrilling Easter soccer tournament [Pics]

Toti United Football Club hosted more than 20 teams during an intense, thrilling four-day-long soccer tournament.

MORE than 20 soccer teams clashed over the Easter weekend as Toti United Football Club proudly hosted a highly-competitive tournament.

A mixture of young talent and experienced players from across the South Coast took to the field at Hutchison Park during the course of the four-day-long tournament.

Cindy Blake, of Toti United, said the tournament featured four divisions, including U13, U15, U17, and women’s football.

“The primary aim of the tournament was to promote football within the local community. It was an exciting and closely-contested event from start to finish and proved to be a great success,” said Blake.

Spectators were treated to nail-bitingly close matches, showcasing skill, determination, and sportsmanship.

The victors

  • New Age FC won the U13 division, with Toti United’s first team as runners-up.
  • Glide FC won the U15 division while Toti United secured second place.
  • MFD claimed victory in the U17 category with Glide FC as runners-up.
  • Sapphire Ladies FC won the women’s division with Toti United Ladies taking second place.

“The tournament was not only a showcase of local football talent but also served as important preparation for the upcoming season, which kicks off on April 19. Toti United extends its gratitude to all participating teams, players, coaches, and supporters who contributed to making the event a memorable success. With such strong competition and community support, the future of football in the area looks bright,” said Blake.
