High-stakes matches set for Amanzimtoti netballers

The league trophy is on the line for Amanzimtoti Netball Club this weekend, with two tough games at Hoy Park, Durban.

REMAINING undefeated in the KZN Super League B Division, Amanzimtoti Netball Club’s formidable Senior A team will be taking on two high-stakes matches at Hoy Park on October 10 to bring home the league title and be promoted to the Premier Division.

The star netballers will face off against tough opposition in Midlands Academy and the KNC Netball Club.

Chairperson Ruan Engelbrecht said that winning both games would mean the club comes away with a league title and will be promoted to the Premier Division.

He explained that losing would place the team second on the log, pitting them in a relegation match against the bottom team of the Premier Division to decide whether the team makes it or remains in League B.

“Our Senior A team remains undefeated in the league this season. The players have worked tirelessly to reach this moment, and this weekend’s match will decide it all. While our opponents present a tough challenge, I fully believe our team has what it takes to bring home the league title,” said Engelbrecht.
