Man arrested with suspected stolen goods on The Bluff

The suspect was found in possession of a TV and plastic bag with various stolen items, including electrical appliances.

A JOINT operation between security companies and Brighton Beach Police led to the arrest of a man accused of breaking into a house on The Bluff and stealing valuable items.

Spokesperson for Blue Security Shelli Lawson said in a statement that their tactical officer, who was patrolling on The Bluff, saw a man carrying a TV and plastic bag in Clarkson Road and acted swiftly.

“On seeing the security vehicle, he proceeded to run and was chased by our tactical unit across Old Mission Road. He then ran into Bayview Road where he started yard hopping between the properties on Bluff Road. Thanks to the swift response from police community members and security companies who then surrounded the area.

The suspect was apprehended, and stolen items were recovered, including electrical appliances. He was charged with being in possession of suspected stolen property.
