Treasurer Anusha Ramsunder said the festivities started off with tea and some traditional Indian sweet meats.

“One of the highlights of the day was a lively performance of the traditional Indian dance, dandiya,” she said. Colourfully attired senior citizens danced in a circle, striking two sticks together in rhythm with the beat of the music, showcasing the cultural richness of the occasion.
