Abbaquar centre dances the night away and raises funds

The Abbaquar San Dream Centre turned into a field of love where attendees were able to dance the night away while supporting the centre’s programmes.

THE Abbaquar San Dream Centre came alive with love and joy on February 28 when it hosted a special fundraising dance titled “Singles to Lovers”. The event united the community to have a fun-filled evening while raising much-needed funds for the centre’s soup kitchen and youth activities.

Chieftess Olivia Jones, chairperson of the Abbaquar San Dream Centre, expressed her delight at the event’s success.

“It was a fantastic gathering. Our guests had an amazing time, and the atmosphere was electric. We’re thrilled with the turnout and the positive feedback,” she said.

The evening was one of music, dance, and good-natured, social atmosphere meant to foster community bonding and even possibly spark new love affairs. Attendees were invited to wear white if they were single and red if they were partnered.

Visitors not only enjoyed a night out but also felt positive about giving back to a good cause.

“We are very grateful for the great turnout from our stakeholders and community. Such gatherings remind us of the power of togetherness and generosity. Thanks to all who made it possible,” said Jones.

Lee-Sandra Boyce and Sthembiso Magwala were all smiles thanks to the groovy music.

The Abbaquar San Dream Centre looks forward to organising more events that further its mission of support and service.
