Help spread Easter cheer to children in hospital

The Montwood Ratepayers Association has launched a drive to collect Easter eggs for children at Clairwood Hospital.

MONTWOOD Ratepayers Association launched a heart-warming collection campaign to raise Easter eggs for children at Clairwood Hospital. As Easter nears, the association wishes to spread some joy to the young patients who may not get a chance to enjoy the celebration.

Heidi Geyser, the treasurer of the association, is spearheading the drive and encourages members of the community to contribute. “A person can donate one or two Easter eggs, but if they are feeling generous, we will accept a box of Easter eggs. We would love to share them with the children at Clairwood Hospital for Easter because many don’t get a chance to have anything,” said Geyser.

The association is looking to collect as many Easter eggs as possible so that they can create small gift packets for the children.

“Although some do not celebrate Easter, and some children do not even get to hear about it, it is such an honour to give back to those who are in need and do not get a chance to celebrate. The love, the joy and the smile that a child gives makes one melt in your heart, knowing you did something to give back,” she added.

Residents who want to donate to this project and make a difference in these little patients’ lives can contact Geyser on 072 317 4660.
