Wentworth man arrested with over 300 pieces of rock cocaine

According to the police, the man was found with 399 pieces of rock cocaine and 12 mandrax tablets at the Reiger Road flats in Wentworth.

A WENTWORTH man was arrested with over 300 pieces of rock cocaine and 12 mandrax tablets recently.

The arrest was made during a joint operation between the members of metro police street crime unit and the Wentworth Crime Prevention unit.

The police conducted routine patrols along the Reiger Road flats when they received information about a man in possession of drugs.

The police acted swiftly and followed leads that led to the arrest of a 27-year-old man.

According to the police, the man was found with 399 pieces of rock cocaine and 12 mandrax tablets on June 14. He was arrested and charged for dealing in and possession of narcotics.

Meanwhile, another suspect (19) was arrested for possession of drugs after the police found 22 pieces of rock cocaine and two wrappings of cocaine powder at the Lansdowne Road flat complex.

Both suspects were due to appear in court today (June 17) for possession of drugs.
