Watch: Three people injured in Wentworth collision

Three people were transported to medical facilities following a collision involving an ambulance and a vehicle in Wentworth.

THREE people have been injured in a collision between an ambulance and a vehicle on Basil February Road this morning (August 15).

An ambulance and vehicle collided on Basil February Road, Wentworth this morning (August 15). The collision caused the vehicle to veer of the road and drive through the fence of a property while causing the ambulance to flip onto to its side. Paramedics are on scene and treating the injured. The collision, which occurred around 11:00, caused the vehicle to drive through the fence of a property and the ambulance to flip onto its side. The eThekwini fire department, Wentworth police station, paramedics and security companies were on scene. 

PT Alarms spokesperson Dhevan Govindasamy assessing the ambulance involved in the collision.

ALS Paramedics spokesperson Garrith Jamieson confirmed that three people had sustained injuries and were treated on scene and transported to medical facilities for further care.

Events leading up to the accident are being investigated by the relevant authorities.
