Theft leaves writer locked out

It is now clear these people are going there with one intention and that is to steal.

EDITOR – On Friday evening, 18 October my black bag was stolen at Harlequins Club on the Bluff.

I am writing this letter as there is a slim chance that only my cellphone and money was taken and other items may have been tossed somewhere. These include reading glasses, asthma pump, two silver house keys, keyring initial M with small diamonds on it and a black and white cosmetic purse.

This has caused me such inconvenience as I was locked out of my own home and not able to call anyone.

This is the second time now at Harlequins, only last time my cellphone and money was taken and my bag with my keys was left behind. I was not so lucky this time.

It is now clear these people are going there with one intention and that is to steal.

The problem is I cannot afford to replace these much-needed items and I do not have spare house keys, so I appeal to anyone who might come across them to please leave them at the Harlequins office or contact me on 031-466-1000 or 031-205-7277.
