Jabulani SAPS, under the leadership of station commander Brigadier Lefa Tsotetsi, recently conducted a series of crime prevention operations across the precinct, resulting in multiple arrests for various offences.

The operations were carried out in partnership with various law enforcement agencies and community stakeholders as part of ongoing efforts to combat crime and maintain law and order in the Jabulani policing precinct.

In addition, four suspects were arrested for possession of drugs during separate operations in the area.

Police spokesperson Dakalo Phemula said a school search was also conducted at Bhukulani Secondary School, during which more than 500 learners were physically searched.

“As part of the Integrated Spaza Shops Compliance Inspection Operation conducted in the Jabulani area, several spaza shops were visited and inspected for compliance.

“The operation was conducted jointly with the Environmental Health Department and City of Johannesburg Planning Law Enforcement officials,” said Phemula.

He added that eight non-compliance fines were issued during the inspections, while two foreign nationals were arrested for allegedly operating with fraudulent documents.

Tsotetsi commended all members and stakeholders involved in the operations for their continued commitment to fighting crime and lawlessness in the area.
