Our Icon should be Good Grace

Most eyes will be focused on proceedings at Turffontein today but early on the Kenilworth card it may be worth getting involved in a few bets.

The Dean Kannemeyer yard has two runners who could be winners in Our Icon and Doctorow.

Our Icon has ability and has won twice in just five starts to date.

This Dynasty colt may now be looking for a bit further than the 1800m of his last run and this course and distance (2000m) saw Our Icon beat subsequent winner Tygerhoogte.

Stable companion Doctorow put up a pleasing debut when fourth to Prince Of Thieves and disappointed in his next two starts.

In both of those though he was outpaced from wide draws and from a much better draw he could beat some modest rivals in Race 1.

Trainer Neil Bruss knows how to ready a horse when he needs to and Grozny might be a longshot worth considering in Race 2.

This Bankable filly was not too far back on debut then regressed in her second start when drawn widest.

The balance of the race appears filled with modest animals and she could make dramatic improvement.

Trainer Andre Nel has his form in fine fettle and Arctic Teon could be a possible banker for exotic players in Race 3.

The Fanatic Dane gelding is holding form well and the track and trip clearly suits him.

The Mike Bass yard can never be ignored and their runner in Race 5, Good Grace could be Eachway value.

The Silvano filly is a course and distance winner and gets pole position draw.
