Allie sad that Brockie can’t play against Sundowns

Maritzburg United defender Nazeer Allie is said that Jeremy Brockie cannot play in Saturday’s Telkom Knockout final, but believes his side has enough depth to replace the New Zealander.

Brockie is barred from playing against Sundowns according to the loan agreement between United and coach Pitso Mosimane’s side.

Allie say Brockie’s absence can give an opportunity to another player a chance to win the trophy for the team.

“Obviously it is sad for him because he wanted to play in the final, I don’t know what the issue between the two clubs was, but we have other players that can step up on the day and well see on Saturday.”

The New Zealand striker moved to the KZN side at the start of the season in search of game time after being relegated to the bench at the defending Absa Premiership champions.
