Former Chiefs striker ruled out of Senegal clash

Zimbabwe striker Knowledge Musona has been ruled out of Thursday’s clash against Senegal with a hamstring injury.

The former Kaizer Chiefs forward sustained the injury in the Warriors’ opening match at 2017 Africa Cup of Nations against Algeria on Sunday. Musona was substituted in the first half of the game by Matthew Rusike.

Doctor Nick Munyonga said his team was working round the clock to have Musona back for the game against Tunisia, which will be the Warriors’ third match of the tournament.

“He will be out of the match against Tunisia. We are however working hard to ensure that he is back in the team for the third match against Tunisia,” Munyongo tells AllAfrica.com

“The good thing is that there is no muscle tear,” said Munyonga.
