One time Chiefs target Sekola joins Highlands Park

Absa Premiership new boys, Highlands Park FC have added another lethal striker to their arsenal ahead of the second round of matches set to start in February.

The Lions of the North have secured Moeketsi Sekola from Free State Stars who has signed a pre-contract and veteran Bidvest Wits defender, Siyabonga Nhlapo who is on a six month loan.

Sekola was the top goal scorer in the Premiership in the 2014/15 season as he netted 14 goals for Ea Lla Koto.  Sekola was for a long time linked with a move to Gauteng giants, Kaizer Chiefs and Mamelodi Sundowns but the move never materialised.

The striker will face strong competition at Highlands who already have the proven scorer, Collins Mbesuma and promising talent, Charlton Mashumba on their roster.

The Lions of the North have meanwhile put six players on transfer, including veteran defender, Jermaine Christian. The other five are Tebogo Kalake, Augustine Leonard, Siphiwe Tshabalala and Thapelo Mathibe.
