Highlands apologise for ticketing error

The mistake on the match ticket has indicated the game against Polokwane City is a late night game.


Highlands Park have sent a statement apologising for the error made by a printing company after their game ticket for the Sunday clash against Polokwane City at the Makhulong Stadium was printed out as a night game.

The game is set to kick-off at 3.30pm.

“Highlands Park FC would like to apologise for an error printed on our tickets, our match against Polokwane City at Makhulong Stadium this coming Sunday ( 12 Feb 2017) will kick-off at 15H30, NOT 19H30 as indicated on our tickets, it was a mistake. We request our colleagues in the media to help us rectify this printing mistake before it can cause more inconvenience to our ever present, loyal, football lovers,” read a statement from the club.

The Lions of the North are on a quest to get their first points of the year, having lost 3-0 to Cape Town City in a midweek clash at Cape Town Stadium, while Polokwane played to a 1-1 draw against Maritzburg United at the Old Peter Mokaba Stadium.

Highlands are currently second from the bottom after collecting 13 points, while Rise and Shine are sixth with 22 points.
