New City keeper looks up to Khune

Cape Town City’s newly signed goalkeeper Tatenda Mukuruva says he is inspired by other Zimbabweans that have excelled in the Absa Premiership.

The 20-year-old goalkeeper, who played all of the matches for the Warriors at the 2017 Africa Cup of Nations joined Cape Town City as a free agent after his contract at Dynamos FC expired at the end of 2016.

“It was my dream to play here, I am happy that I have managed to come here, when I get a chance I am going to work hard. I saw George Chigova, Knowledge Musona and Khama Billiat where doing great and I thought it was a great stepping stone for me and one day I would like to play in Europe. When I was younger I looked up to Khune, he is a good goalkeeper and I am looking forward to play against him.”
