Billiat, Laffor and Kekana ruled out of Caf clash

Three key Sundowns players are set to sit out the Caf Champions League clash against Esperance on Friday.

Coach Pitso Mosimane will be without Hlompho Kekana, Khama Billiat and Anthony Laffor who are out injured.

The Brazilians are tied on four points with Esperance and the game will determine who goes top of Group C having played two games each.

“The home side will be looking at carrying on from where they left off in DR Congo but will have to do so without some of their key players. Midfield dynamo, Hlompho Kekana, is out injured just as star player, Khama Billiat and Liberia-import, Anthony Laffor,” CAF confirmed on their official website.

Mosimane has urged his players to keep their heads up after the club surrendered their South African Premier League title to Bidvest Wits.

“We must be proud of our achievements. We won the CAF Champions League and CAF Super Cup and gained valuable experience playing in the Fifa Club World Cup. Sundowns is an ambitious club and will always give it our all but we can’t win everything and our supporters have accepted this.”
