Bucks close in on Nomandela

Phakaaathi Reporter

Mthatha Bucks head coach Ian Palmer plans to have a one-on-one chat with Luyolo Nomandela before completing his signing to the First National Division side.

Nomadela was released from Cape Town City at the end of last season and he failed to impressed Platinum Stars’ technical team when he was invited to the club for trials there.

The former Mamelodi Sundowns and Free State Stars midfielder has been training with Bucks for close to a week now.

“He is here for an assessment,” Palmer tells KickOff.

“He hasn’t played a competitive game for a long time… [we] will make a decision by next week. I also have to have a one-on-one with the boy.

“I heard a lot of stories… I need to find out his side of the story.

“In the past yes I did… I do not know what his level is now. The NFD is a totally different beast.”
