Micho wants Pirates players to stay focused

Orlando Pirates coach Micho Sredojevic says he needs his players to be fully focused ahead of the Telkom Knockout Cup tie with Golden Arrows at the Princess Magogo Stadium on Saturday.

Pirates played to a 0-0 draw against Kaizer Chiefs in the Soweto derby recently and Sredojevic is happy with his players’ focus in that match.

“It is obvious that in matches like a derby, all players are focused and alert. It will be our job to ensure that the players are equally focused for the match against Golden Arrows,” Sredojevic told the club’s website.

The Serb wants his players to come out with guns blazing on the day to ensure that they go through to the next stage of the competition.

“With this type of match, there is no correction like you would have in the league. A cup game doesn’t cater for draws, there has to be a winner and a loser, therefore, this match will need us to be firing on all cylinders.”
