Pirates announce midfielder suspension after police charge

Orlando Pirates have announced that they have suspended midfielder Ben Motshwari, after he was charged by the police on Monday morning.
Pirates did not state the nature of Motshwari’s offence, but it is serious enough for the Buccaneers to have taken drastic action against the 30 year-old.
“Orlando Pirates football club can confirm that it has suspended midfielder Ben Motshwari after being charged by the police this morning,” said the Buccaneers in a statement.
“Mr Motshwari will remain suspended, pending an investigation.
“The matter is subject to a legal process and the club is therefore unable to make further comment until the process is complete.”
