Rockets aiming to shoot down the Birds

With seven losses, two draws and a sinlgle win in 10 outings, Galaxy are currently sitting 15th on the log.

The pressure is undoubtedly there for TS Galaxy to start winning their games and head coach Sead Ramovic says he is working really hard to get the players to their best.

With 10 games already played this season, the Rockets are at the pit of the relegation zone on 15th spot after accumulating only five points.

A win for them against Swallows FC at the Mbombela Stadium is likely to take them to safety – depending on other results over the weekend.

But, Ramovic, who was appointed as the new coach of the club last month, admits that there are still a lot of aspects that the club has to fix in order to get their campaign going on a positive note.

“Swallows have a great team, with a lot of experience. We have to be prepared.  We are doing things that we believe will help us to win games. We still need the time, but we have to start winning games. That is the most important thing. We have to train and the players have to improve and understand how to move and switch the ball to the sides,” said Ramovic, who took over the coaching reins from Owen da Gama.

“And our defending has to be much better, we have to try to have a clean sheet because we have conceded too many goals in the last four games.

Meanwhile, it’s been almost close to three months since TS Galaxy captain Given Msimango has been sidelined due to a groin injury, and watched helplessly as his side struggled to get positive results. Now back at training, the defender is adamant they will turn the corner soon.

“Of course, when the team is not doing well you itch to come in and help the team. But unfortunately, I couldn’t do that physically. I could only be there in spirit and on the mental side, speaking with the guys and encouraging them,” said the defender.

“But it’s been a difficult time, not only for me, but the team as well. We are at the bottom of the log, a very unfamiliar position for us. But, I’m positive that we will bounce back. We have been working very hard at training, so the results will come.”
