AmaZulu coach calls PSL charge a ‘printing error’

AmaZulu coach Cavin Johnson is puzzled by the PSL's decision to  midfielder Michael Morton with “offending the dignity of Gabadinho Mhango”.

Morton was sent off for pushing Mhango after the Bidvest Wits striker spat on him during an Absa Premiership game.

The PSL decided to charge both players for the incident.

“I personally want to think that it was a printing error. I personally want to think that the person who wrote that was not thinking when he was writing that, because I don’t see why they called him to the DC,” Johnson told KickOff.

“For me he should be, what do you call it? How do you say it? He should be a witness instead of being an accused. Right now he has been accused so I think firstly the person who did that made a big mistake.

“Spitting? He’s laughing at it and he thinks the person who wrote an article or who printed the letter made a big mistake. I think he made a major mistake.”
