AmaZulu eager to take advantage of ‘unsettled’ Galaxy

Galaxy have a new coach after firing Owen Da Gama.

AmaZulu FC midfielder Siyethemba Sithebe wants his team to use the advantage they have over TS Galaxy when the sides meet in a DStv Premiership clash at Mbombela Stadium on today (Tuesday).

Sithebe believes Usuthu can benefit from Galaxy’s current situation as he believes there the team may be ‘unsettled’ following the firing of Owen Da Gama and the hiring of the new technical team lead by Sead Ramovic.

“It’s an away game and it is obviously not going to be easy,” Sithebe says of the match.

He added that because AmaZulu will have to split their attention between the Premiership and the Caf Champions League this season, they have to collect as many points as early as they can to get their balancing act right.

“The last game was a Caf Champions League match and it is a different setup. But I think the coach has enough options to change things around.

“We have to win this one because they are still struggling and have just got a new coach. But we will have to be alert because the players will want to prove themselves to the new coach.

“We need to work hard because we have to quickly move off this position and into the top five at least.”

Both sides have had a slow start to the season, with Usuthu winning just one in six games so far. They have drawn four and lost one. Usuthu are currently in the ninth position.

It is even worse for the Rockets who are yet to register a win to their name and have lost four with two draws leaving them at the bottom of the standings.
