SuperSport played to a goalless draw away at Bloemfontein Celtic midweek, while Sundowns beat Equatorial Guinea outfit Leones Vegetarianos 2-0 in the Caf Champions League.
The two sides are separated by a single point, with Matsatsantsa edging the Brazilians to take up fourth place.
A win for either side will see the winner move to second on the log standings behind leaders Orlando Pirates.
