Celtic boss taken to court by former Siwelele player

Former Bloemfontein Celtic captain Thabo Nthethe has reportedly lodged a civil case against his former boss Max Tshabalala.

According to the Sunday Sun, Tshabalala owes Nthethe R1 million for a construction project.

Tshabalala, however, has denied the claim saying he does not owe Nthethe any money.

“I don’t owe Thabo money. He was appointed as a material subcontractor at Ikaheng Developers and Plant Hire. I’m one of the directors of Ikaheng Developers and Plant Hire. The project was stopped due to non-payment from the client that hired Ikaheng Developers and Plant Hire,” Tshabalala told Sunday Sun.

“Thabo bought steel for the project, and unfortunately, there was non-payment from the client. As soon as the client pays the three outstanding payment certificates, he and other subcontractors will be paid. Thabo didn’t take me to court. He took Ikaheng Developers and Plant Hire to court, not me. I’m not even in Bloemfontein right now.”

Nthethe refused to comment on the matter.

“I want to deal with this matter without putting it in the newspaper. Please my brother, don’t put anything in the newspaper.”
