Chiefs player robbed of R70k worth of household items

Kaizer Chiefs midfielder Keagan Buchanan came home on New Year's Day to find some of his belonging stolen.


Robbers reportedly entered his apartment in Noordwyk, Midrand after midnight on 1 January.

They made off with household items worth R70 000, including two Sony TVsets, an iPad, Playstation and a MacBook Pro.

Midrand police spokesman Mahlaume Mamabolo confirmed the incident to the Sunday World and said no arrests were made.

“On Monday, at about 2:10am, the complainant left doors and windows closed, all was in order when he left the house. At 4:15am on the same day, the complainant came back and when he opened the door he was surprised to notice that the plasma TV was stolen.

“On further investigation the complainant noticed that the other items were stolen,” Mamabolo said.
