Chiefs looks to profit from Castro, Paez partnership

Kaizer Chiefs coach Steve Komphela is looking to form a partnership between Gustavo Paez and Leonardo Castro.

Castro marked his debut for Amakhosi by scoring a wonder goal against Baroka FC over the weekend.

Paez has become a regular in Komphela’s match day squad since joining Amakhosi last season.

“There were instances where we used to create too many chances and if you score two goals in a match in any championship, chances are that you can win that match. For the opponent to beat you they need to score three, and if they score two you get a point,” Komphela to reporters after the match.

“Paez does a lot of work, and now that he found Castro there is an issue of language, can they speak Spanish together, can they hit, they are both South American we should take advantage of that chemistry and comradery. I am sure he [Castro] will be okay we just don’t have to put him under too much pressure.”
