Chiefs snap up Ghanaian midfielder

Kaizer Chiefs have confirmed the signing of Ghanaian midfielder James Kotei.

The former Simba SC midfielder signed a three-year deal with the Soweto giants.

The 25-year-old is already in camp with Amakhosi for pre-season training.

Kotei was linked with a move to Chiefs after the Glamour Boys released players at the end of last season.

The Ghanaian is the second signing by Chiefs in the transfer window after they snapped up Zambian striker Lazarus Kambole from Zesco United.

Chiefs revealed that more players would be released from the club in the coming weeks as they continue to rebuild the club ahead of next season.

“Chiefs confirm Kotei! Kaizer Chiefs have signed James Agyekum Kotei on a three-year contract.

“The 25-year-old defensive midfielder hails from Ghana. He joins Amakhosi from Simba Sport Club in the Tanzanian Premier League,” read a tweet from Chiefs.
