Hunt calls on Keet to make decision on Wits future

Bidvest Wits coach Gavin Hunt has urged his goalkeeper Darren Keet to make a decision on whether he will extend at the Clever Boys or join another club.

Keet is in the few months of his contract with the Wits and has not said if he leaving the Milpark club or not.

The Bafana Bafana goalkeeper has been linked with a move to Kaizer Chiefs, Orlando Pirates and Mamelodi Sundowns at the end of the season.

“He is out of contract and we all know that. We need to get some sort of clarity going forward, you know what I mean if he is going to stay or go,” Hunt was quoted by IOL.

Hunt has fielded Ricardo Goss in Wits’ last few games with Keet starting on the bench.

“I don’t really rotate goalkeepers. I really don’t. I felt there was a need to play him (Goss) and to look at him. He was unfortunate last week with an own goal. He was okay. He did what he had to do.”
