Kaizer Chiefs, the Telkom Knockout’s most successful team, head to Port Elizabeth today to take on Chippa United in their bid to win the competition for the first time since 2010.
The clash at the Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium on Sunday is scheduled to kick off at 3:30pm.
Chiefs have been blowing hot and cold of late. Impressive wins over Mamelodi Sundowns and Bloemfontein Celtic were followed by dull goalless draws, and coach Steve Komphela will be urging his team to become more consistent.
And, with games coming thick and fast over the last two weeks, Komphela was mindful that veterans such as Siphiwe Tshabalala and Bernard Parker needed to be wrapped in cotton wool.
