Maritzburg United coach Eric Tinkler is looking for players to replace Fortune Makaringe and Siphelele Ndlovu, who joined Orlando Pirates during the off-season.
Tinkler says the duo left a big gap in the squad which will be difficult to fill as the due were instrumental in United’s success in the past two seasons.
“Two big gaps have opened up that’s why we are assessing players,” Tinkler was quoted as saying by Isolezwe.
“We are looking to players to close the gaps. It has never been easy to replace two players and it won’t be easy right now.
“You won’t find a player like Ndlovu but we have to try and find a player that can fit into our system. For now I am pleased with what I have.”
Former Pirates and Chippa United midfielder Thamsanqa Sangweni is reportedly being assessed by Tinkler and his technical team.
