Chiefs and Sundowns reach agreement on Lebese

Phakaaathi has learnt that Kaizer Chiefs and Mamelodi Sundowns have reached an agreement on the transfer of midfielder George Lebese.

Earlier Chiefs confirmed they were in talks with Sundowns regarding the attacking midfielder’s transfer from Naturena to Chloorkop.

“They have reached an agreement now over the transfer. All that is left is for Lebese to agree personal terms with Sundowns and he will be on his way to Chloorkop,” a source told Phakaaathi.

As reported earlier today, Lebese has been training with Chiefs reserves.

However, he is expected to join the Brazilians as soon as he reaches an agreement with them over personal terms.

Lebese joined Chiefs from Arcadia Shepherds in 2008.

He has played 148 league matches for Amakhosi since then, scoring 22 goals and making 21 assists.
