Baccus tired of bench-warming at Chiefs, wants to go back home

'He knows it is highly unlikely that his contract will be renewed so he knows wants to go back home.' reveals the source.

Kearyn Baccus is said to have resigned himself to leaving Kaizer Chiefs without making his mark at the famous club. The 30 year-old joined Amakhosi three years ago with so much hype as he was said to be the ‘next Doctor Khumalo’.

But he is yet to make his mark and has been in and out of the team since he arrived and has yet to make the regular appearances.

A source has revealed that he has now resigned himself to leaving Amakhosi when his deal ends in June next year.

“He knows it is highly unlikely that his contract will be renewed so he knows wants to go back home,” said the source. Baccas was born in Durban but his parents moved to Australia when he was young and he grew up there.

He played for Melbourne City where he was one of the regulars before joining Amakhosi during Ernst Middendorp’s reign.
