Phakaaathi previously reported that Amakhosi wanted to loan out Khumalo during the transfer window period but that didn’t happened as he was with the national team for the Chan campaign and the Cosafa Cup qualifiers.

“This is a delicate situation and the team wanted to keep it under wraps until a decision had been reached. But what I know is that Khumalo is on his way out because the coach has no use for him,” said a source.
Khumalo joined Amakhosi from SuperSport United two years ago and hardly played as Komphela preferred the tried and tested Tsepo Masilela over him. Komphela seems to favour Philani Zulu over Khumalo this time around.
