Pirates coach confirms interest from African clubs

Orlando Pirates coach Micho Sredojevic has confirmed that several teams across the African continent have shown interest in his services.

However, the Serbian mentor, who is serving the final year of his contract with Pirates, insists that he remains loyal to Pirates.

“There are a lot of teams that are interested in me from Egypt, Sudan, Zambia, Morocco and other places but I am a soldier employed by Pirates,” Sredojevic told the media.

“I am loyal to my football father, Irvin Khoza. If anyone wants to talk to me they need to speak to him first. While I am here I will be loyal. If I am moved from being the coach I will wear the supporters’ jersey and go sit with them in the stands.

“I will always love any team that I has given me a chance to coach.”

Meanwhile, Pirates won their first game of the 2019/20 season, beating Bloemfontein Celtic 3-1 at the Orlando Stadium on Saturday evening.
