Quiroz would take Bafana job if offered
Former Iran coach, Carlos Queiroz says he would consider taking over at Bafana Bafana if the job was offered to him.

The Portuguese mentor is rumoured to be among the front runners to take over the position left vacant when Shakes Mashaba was axed in December. Queiroz fueled the rumours when he resigned suddenly as Iran coach early in 2017.
Speaking to EWN, Queiroz said he considered himself an African and has unfinished business in the continent.
“South Africa is like home for me. I am an African person, I am a white African. I have so many links with the continent,” said Quiroz.
Safa are expected to announce a new coach but that could be delayed as Mashaba has launched an appeal against his dismissal and his legal representatives have revealed they would consider taking the matter to arbitration should they not be satisfied with the CCMA’s ruling.
February 7 has been set as the date for Mashaba’s matter to be heard at the CCMA.
Safa could have to wait until the matter is resolved before officially appointing a new coach.
Other coaches who have been linked to the Bafana job include Pitso Mosimane and Gavin Hunt who have both declared their unavailability as they believe they have unfinished at their current clubs, Mamelodi Sundowns and Bidvest Wits respectively.
Uganda’s Milutin Sredojevic has also been mentioned among those Safa is considering.
