Safa president backs Masuluke for Puskas award

South African Football Association (Safa) president Danny Jordaan has called on South Africans to vote for Oscarine Masuluke's goal.

Masuluke’s goal against Orlando Pirates made it to the top three of the Fifa Puskas Awards.

The Baroka fc goalkeeper is the first African to make it into the top three of the nominations list.

“We must play our part in ensuring that Masuluke makes history by becoming the first African footballer to bring such an award home,”  Jordaan told the Safa website.

“A win for Oscar is a win for Africa; this is not about which club a person supports or which country they are from. It is about giving African football the recognition that it deserves and this is why we urge each and every African to vote for Oscarine,” added Jordaan.
