Sundowns look for double over Wits

Mamelodi Sundowns will be chasing a league double over Bidvest Wits when the teams meet in the Absa Premiership match at Bidvest Stadium today.

The Brazilians beat the Clever Boys 2-0 at home in the opening round and they will be targeting to do the same against Gavin Hunt’s men.

“It’s tough times, you have to grind and make sure that you don’t concede. It’s important for us not to concede,” Mosimane told SuperSport.

“It was a difficult game against Arrows, but we got the result and we need to keep taking it one game at a time.

“We need to go on like this and keep clean sheets, it is squeaky bum time. It’s good we are top of the log because we want to be there.

“We want to best Wits on Monday and we will go all out to achieve that.”

Wits on the other hand will be looking to beat Sundowns to keep their title hopes alive.

“I heard that one of our main rivals are looking at each of their remaining games as if they were Cup finals,” said Wits coach Gavin Hunt.

“Good. Let them worry about the title and we will worry about our next game. We’ll see who comes out on top at the end.

“I feel that this is my team and that when I give the players instructions, they have faith in the plan.

“There is too much talk over coaches these days. Better players make you a better coach.

“When you start shifting your focus towards the finish line, you probably won’t get there. Instead, we are going to keep doing what we have been doing as that has got us into this fantastic position.”

The game is set to take place at Bidvest Stadium at 5pm.
